Role Overview
We are looking for a Compliance Officer to support the compliance, investor onboarding, fund administration coordination, and legal documentation functions of a Category II AIF. The role will work closely with the Fund Administration team and external advisors to ensure smooth operational and regulatory processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with SEBI AIF regulations and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage investor onboarding including KYC, AML, FATCA, and related documentation.
- Coordinate investor communications, capital call notices, and periodic reporting.
- Work closely with the Fund Administration team on operational and compliance matters.
- Support preparation, review, and maintenance of legal and compliance documentation including contribution agreements, side letters, and vendor agreements.
- Maintain compliance records, trackers, and regulatory filings.
- Liaise with auditors, legal counsel, custodians, and other service providers as required.
Qualifications
- CA / CS / LLB (or a combination thereof).
- Preference for candidates who have completed the NISM Series-III-C: Securities Intermediaries Compliance (Fund) Certification Examination.
- Strong understanding of SEBI AIF regulations and investor onboarding processes.
Experience
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in AIFs, fund administration, compliance, legal operations, or financial services.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage documentation and regulatory timelines efficiently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and compliance/document management tools.
