Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Brief Writer to join our team. This role is focused solely on drafting legal briefs, motions, memoranda, and other written legal documents, with no requirement for court appearances. Attorneys and paralegals with excellent research, writing, and analytical skills are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and analyze complex legal issues to support case strategies.
Draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal briefs, motions, and memoranda for use in litigation.
Ensure all documents comply with legal standards and are properly formatted.
Review case files, legal precedents, and statutes to create strong written arguments.
Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to gather necessary information and insights.
Edit and proofread drafts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in legal writing.
Prepare legal summaries and reports as needed for internal or external review.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred but not required; paralegals with significant legal writing experience are also encouraged to apply.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and research methods.
Proven experience in legal writing, drafting briefs, or creating legal memoranda.
Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

Prior experience drafting briefs or legal documents in [specific areas of law, e.g., litigation, appellate, corporate law].
Familiarity with legal research tools and databases such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and other legal professionals.
