About the Role
Gate is hiring a Compliance Associate to work directly with our Head of Marketing & Privacy Compliance. You’ll own real execution across marketing and privacy compliance in a fast-moving, global business
What You’ll Do
- Run day-to-day compliance execution across marketing and privacy
- Review and clear marketing campaigns and promotional content, including disclosure language
- Own data protection documentation, cross-border transfer assessments, and privacy impact reviews
- Track regulatory changes across jurisdictions and turn them into clear internal briefings
- Manage external counsel — chase deliverables, cut through legal advice, make it actionable
- Handle data subject access requests and privacy correspondence
- Build and maintain compliance training materials
- Answer ad hoc compliance questions from the business, fast — with real research behind the answer
- Help sharpen our internal compliance processes as we scale
What You’ll Bring
- 1–3 years in fintech, financial markets, or a regulatory-adjacent role (law firm, regulator, or in-house compliance)
- Sharp legal research and writing; you learn fast and don’t need hand-holding
- High ownership — you move work forward even with incomplete information
- Thrives under a fast-paced, multi-priority workload
- Fluent Mandarin and English — bilingual legal drafting and communication
Nice to Have
- CIPP/E or other privacy certification
- Marketing/advertising compliance exposure, or sponsorship/co-branded campaign review experience
- Crypto, digital assets, or fintech background
