CIEL’s Head Office is currently looking for a dynamic Compliance Assistant.
Compliance Assistant
Reporting to the Group Head of Risk and Compliance, the selected candidate will be mainly responsible for assisting in daily operations and strategic initiatives.
What you will be responsible for:
Assist in the design, implementation, and monitoring of the Group’s AML/CFT and data protection frameworks.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in AML/CFT and data protection and ensure timely updates to internal policies and processes.
Ensure correspondences and queries from regulatory authorities are addressed in a timely manner.
Assist in developing and delivering employee training programs on AML/CFT and data protection compliance while promoting awareness and ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations across the Group.
Assist in conducting internal compliance reviews and monitoring activities.
Prepare and maintain documentation of compliance activities and prepare reports to senior management, boards, and regulatory authorities.
Provide administrative support to the Group Head of Risk & Compliance, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining records.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Law and Management, or any related field.
ACAMS qualification or equivalent will be an advantage.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in AML/CFT and data protection compliance.
Good understanding of AML/CFT and data privacy laws and regulations, and relevant international frameworks (e.g., GDPR, FATF Recommendations).
Good research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong organizational skills.
Location: Ebene, Mauritius.
