This full-time Commercial Litigation Paralegal role supports attorneys handling business-related legal disputes, primarily focusing on corporate and specialized commercial litigation. The paralegal conducts factual and legal research, manages subpoena responses, drafts pleadings and motions, and assists with depositions, mediations, and trial preparations. They collaborate across multiple offices using a combination of proprietary and standard legal software, with occasional travel required.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain case files, correspondence, and evidence for complex corporate lawsuits
- Draft and format pleadings, subpoenas, motions, and discovery requests/responses in compliance with court rules
- Analyze judicial decisions, statutes, and codes to support attorney strategies and briefs
- Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials by organizing exhibits and assembling trial binders
- Serve as liaison among legal teams, clients, court personnel, and outside vendors
- Manage subpoena responses
- Support attorneys in deposition assistance and evidence organization
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and specialized legal software
- High attention to detail and ability to manage strict deadlines and complex caseloads
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Paralegal certificate, and 2–3+ years of litigation or corporate law experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in commercial litigation
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong skills in legal research, document drafting, and case management
- Proven trial preparation abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and effective communication and organizational skills
