Flexible 4-day week arrangement available (0.8 FTE).
The Legal Team
Reporting to a supportive Head of Legal, you will join a close-knit legal team of five.
The Role
You will work closely with the major projects team to negotiate and manage high-value contracts across Australia and New Zealand. This role combines significant contract negotiation with hands-on management of commercial disputes, supporting broader commercial and corporate matters across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate, draft, and review complex commercial contracts, including Works Agreements, Supply Agreements, Marketing and IP Agreements, Service Agreements, NDAs, Statements of Work, and Framework Agreements.
- Lead negotiations for high-value procurement agreements.
- Advise on BAU matters including employment, IP, Technology, Data and Privacy, and corporate governance matters.
- Project manage a broad spectrum of commercial disputes.
- Collaborate with external counsel on regulatory compliance and investigations.
- Deliver proactive legal and commercial advice to identify, manage, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
Ideal Candidate
- At least 4 years’ post-qualification experience
- Confident leading negotiations with strong drafting and problem-solving skills.
- Ideally a mix of private practice and in-house experience.
- Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders.
