Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts and Commercial Manager with a strong background in contract administration, claims management, and commercial project oversight. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of FIDIC contract forms, civil law and common law principles, and experience in handling contracts, claims, and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and negotiate contracts, concession agreements, and other projects-related contracts.
Draft and issue subcontracts, consultancy, and service agreements.
Assess and mitigate risks associated with contract terms and conditions.
Provide contractual support on claims, variations, and payment disputes.
Identify, analyze, and develop responses to contractual and commercial matters.
Implement best practices for contract administration and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with project management, engineering, legal, procurement, and finance teams to optimize contract execution.
Develop and maintain contract administration procedures from drafting to project close-out.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a related field.
Contract Law certification from a recognized institution (preferred).
Pre-master’s degree courses in Construction Engineering and Management (preferred).
Experience in handling procurement and tendering processes.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in contracts and commercial management, preferably in the construction, infrastructure, or power sectors.
Demonstrated success in handling high-value contracts, claims management, and contract negotiations.
