About the Company
A Fortune 200 global organisation is building its Global Capability Centre in India and has partnered with Flexiple to hire its Chief Legal Counsel. This is a founding leadership seat owning the legal function for the entire centre from day one. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams and GCCs in India.
Role Overview
As Chief Legal Counsel, you will build and lead the legal function for the India centre – setting strategy, standing up governance, and acting as the senior legal advisor to centre leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Own the legal strategy, structure, and priorities for the India centre
- Advise leadership on corporate, regulatory, and commercial risk
- Build the team, policies, and playbooks the function runs on
Governance & Oversight
- Oversee corporate governance, compliance, and entity matters
- Lead high-value contracts, disputes, and regulatory engagement
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 8 or more years of post-qualification experience, with leadership exposure
- An LLB with enrolment as an advocate or equivalent qualification
- A track record of building or running an in-house legal function
- Clear written and spoken English and a reliable remote-work setup
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience setting up legal operations at a GCC or large multinational
- Exposure to cross-border corporate, M&A, and regulatory matters
- An LLM or specialist post-graduate legal qualification
