The Client
Our client is a rapidly growing financial services firm delivering innovative investment solutions in the alternative assets space. With a strong foundation in place and a clear strategy for scale, the business is now seeking a commercially focused and strategic finance leader to join as Chief Financial Officer. This position offers the chance to work closely with the executive team to shape the organisation’s next phase of growth, with a strong focus on capital activity and M&A execution.
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function and drive key commercial outcomes. This role will suit a senior finance executive with experience in corporate finance, investment or high-growth environments who is ready to step into a true business leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop financial strategy, business planning, and capital initiatives
Lead M&A activity including target evaluation, due diligence, deal structuring, integration, and modelling
Contribute to capital raising efforts and investor engagement alongside the Co-Founders
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and commercial analytics
Drive operational finance, governance, and compliance across the business
Liaise with external legal, tax, and financial advisors on transaction structuring and funding
Implement systems and reporting improvements to support business scale
Manage and mentor a high-performing finance team
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
CA, CPA, CFA qualified (or equivalent)
Significant experience in corporate finance, funds management, private equity, or wealth management
Demonstrated track record leading or supporting M&A transactions
Strong commercial acumen and advanced financial modelling skills
Proven ability to work across investor relations, capital raising, or debt structuring
Adaptable, hands-on, and comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Prior experience in a senior finance role (e.g. Head of Finance, GM Finance, Group Financial Controller)
