Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 international law firm seeking a 4th to 7th year Capital Markets Associate to join its New York NY office on a hybrid basis.

This is a transactional opportunity focused on equity capital markets and securities offerings, advising sophisticated market participants on public and private financings across a range of industries.

The team sits within a broad corporate platform and offers a collaborative, partner led environment with meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, and steady deal flow supporting long term professional development.

The Opportunity

The associate will represent underwriters, issuers, and placement agents in IPOs, follow on public offerings, private placements, and other securities offerings. The work will include core deal execution, drafting offering documents and related transaction materials, diligence coordination, transaction management, and closing support. The working policy is hybrid with an expectation of four days per week in the office.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a 4th to 7th year Capital Markets Associate with:

  • 4 to 7 years of capital markets and securities offerings experience
  • Experience representing underwriters, issuers, and placement agents in IPOs and other public offerings
  • Experience with private placements and other securities offerings
  • Strong drafting skills across offering documents and related transaction materials, with the ability to manage deal process efficiently
  • Active membership in the New York Bar
  • Experience with public company Exchange Act reporting work is a plus

Compensation
