The company is based in The Hague, with offices in London and Budapest. 

Our CAM service, ensures that every stakeholder receives their rightful share of revenues, bringing financial peace of mind to financiers, film funds, profit participants, actors, producers and other beneficiaries.

We are looking for a highly motivated business affairs professional to join our drafting team at as a Business & Legal Affairs Manager. The ideal candidate would be based out of our The Hague office, with hybrid working arrangements.

Role Description

You will be responsible for negotiating and drafting CAM agreements, and any other related secondary documentation, with production partners, investors, Film Funds, the US guilds, talent, and representatives.

You will also manage day-to-day internal and external queries, serving as a key point of contact for beneficiaries and rights holders across the business. You will be an integral part of the drafting team assisting in the preparation, review and coordination of a wide range of legal documentation.

General tasks (include, but are not limited to)

  • Draft, review, and negotiate CAM Agreements and other related legal documentation.
  • Interpret and prepare financial recoupment schedules.
  • Review of contracts while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate guidelines.
  • Manage projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines.
  • Interface with external counsel, under supervision where appropriate.
  • Provide regular internal updates on the status of CAM projects within the drafting process.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate is a service-minded person who is proactive, flexible, and can effectively manage multiple priorities, together with the following skills and qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in drafting and negotiating agreements in English. Experience working with Intellectual Property Law and/or Media Law is considered a plus.
  • Bachelor degree in Law, knowledge of Intellectual Property Law and/or Media Law are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of other languages (French, German or Spanish) is an advantage.
  • A basic understanding of the independent entertainment industry and international distribution on both legal and business matters.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple legal and financial matters simultaneously while meeting agreed timelines.
  • Curious with the ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
