Overview
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading international law firms, seeks to hire a highly qualified midlevel associate with law firm experience to join our corporate and business transactions real estate practice group. The ideal candidate will have between three to five years of law firm experience in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures and leasing of commercial, mixed‑use, data center and industrial properties;
and have familiarity with a full deal cycle for a real estate transaction. Candidates must have strong working knowledge of title and survey review and ability to identify and resolve complex issues. Candidates must also possess excellent academic credentials, as well as strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint ventures and leasing of commercial, mixed‑use, data center and industrial properties.
- Conduct and review title and survey reports to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Participate in all phases of a real‑estate transaction from inception to closing.
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice areas (including M&A, energy and finance) on sophisticated transactions with Fortune 100 companies, REITs, institutional investors, developers and financial institutions.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of law firm experience in real‑estate transactions.
- Familiarity with a full deal cycle for a commercial real‑estate transaction.
- Strong working knowledge of title and survey review.
- Active membership in the bar of the state where you will be based (Boston, New York, Los Angeles, or Philadelphia).
- Excellent academic credentials, strong organizational, writing and analytical skills.
Benefits and Compensation
For positions in California, Massachusetts and New York, the salary range is $260,000 to $365,000. Salary or hourly wages will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on experience, expertise, market factors and other considerations. The compensation package may also include a full range of medical, financial and other benefits, such as 401(k) eligibility and paid time off (vacation, sick time and parental leave).
Employee will be in an at‑will position and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary at any time.
