JOB TITLE: Beverage Manager
REPORTS TO: General Manager
LOCATION: Pensacola, Florida
POSITION SUMMARY: The Beverage Manager is responsible for developing bar staff while creating and implementing all Perennial Hospitality Group bar recipes and menus. The Beverage Manager will work closely with the General Manager to hire, train, and provide continuing education to bar staff while maintaining an outstanding bar program across the three PHG locations. This position is responsible for ordering, inventory, and weekly prep shifts to ensure cost effective and streamlined operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to and advance the Mission and Vision Statements of Perennial Hospitality Group
- Embody the Core Values and Core Competencies of Perennial Hospitality Group
- Possess a high level of cocktail, liquor, beer, and wine knowledge
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all Perfect Plain Brewing Co and Urban South Brewery products
- Create cocktails, educate bar staff on new beverages and techniques, update QR and physical menus
- Maintain liquor and retail beer, supplies, and ingredients ordering, inventory and cost control
- Manage glassware inventory and ordering
- Manage weekly prep shift
- Provide ongoing education and training programs to bar staff
- Assist in hiring and training new bar staff (as needed)
- Communicate relevant beverage information to bar/events staff
- Serve as onsite manager on duty on Friday and Saturday nights
- Work a weekly bartending shift
- Lead a portion of the monthly all staff meetings
- Attend all team meetings as requested
- Enhance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary
MANAGERIAL/LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As this is a senior leadership position, the Beverage Manager should plan to attend all management meetings and participate in major company meetings
- The Beverage Manager will be a part of monthly financial meetings

- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Leadership and the ability to inspire others
- Ability to work independently with little supervision – self motivated
- Excellent oral, analytical, written, and group presentation communication skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and sales skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, familiarity with Square preferred
Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
