Golden Law is a general practice law firm looking for an entry level legal assistant. We are located in Broadview, a near west Chicago suburb. We practice in the following areas: probate, estate planning, real estate, family law, employment discrimination, bankruptcy, evictions (landlord only), business law, civil and federal litigation. We are seeking a motivated candidate with 0-2 years of experience for a full-time in office position. We will train the right person.
The ideal candidate desires to grow professionally and thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys supporting a busy attorney and paralegal, and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service while managing complex administrative responsibilities.
The legal assistant will:
-Provide day-to-day administrative support to a team of an attorney and paralegal
-Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, and court filings
-Prepare and electronically file documents in state and federal courts
-Maintain and organize electronic case files using document management software
-Review court orders and pleadings and coordinate docketing requests
-Open and close client matters, prepare engagement documents, and assist with conflict checks
-Coordinate incoming mail, correspondence, and other administrative workflows
-Serve as a dependable resource to attorneys and paralegal
-Answer phone and schedule attorney client meetings
Benefits includes:
-$35,000 annual salary
