Miller, George & Suggs, PLLC is looking to hire a Senior Litigation Attorney to lead the Texas litigation team and handle contested mortgage default matters throughout the State of Texas. The position will be in our Plano, Texas office.

Duties:

Monitoring status of matters being handled by other Texas Litigation Attorneys to ensure sufficient case progress.
Providing direction and assistance to other Texas Litigation Attorneys on high risk matters.
Preparing and presenting monthly reporting to Texas Managing Attorney and Texas Partner.
Handling defensive litigation matters through trial involving alleged violations of state and federal statutes and regulations in both state and federal courts.
Obtaining judicial foreclosure judgments in both state and federal courts.
Resolving mortgage defaults involving deceased borrowers in state district courts and probate courts.
Providing training to litigation staff on legal processes.

Desired Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years’ experience handling mortgage default matters or similar creditor’s right litigation in both state and federal courts.
Licensed to practice law in Texas state courts.
Admitted to practice in federal court.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Experience managing other attorneys.
Willingness to ask questions when needed.
Experience with CaseAware case management system.
Experience working in client portals including BKFS/LPS and Tempo.

Salary Range

$125,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
