Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters across the business.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on various commercial agreements, including technology, vendor, partnership, marketing, and service agreements.
  • Advise business stakeholders on legal and regulatory requirements relating to digital payments, fintech, financial services, and data privacy.
  • Support the launch of new products and initiatives by identifying legal risks and providing practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in laws and regulations impacting the business and provide timely guidance to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing legal disputes, investigations, and interactions with regulators and external counsel where necessary.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, risk, product, finance, and operations, to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in corporate projects, strategic partnerships, and regional initiatives as required.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of legal processes, templates, and governance frameworks.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in the Philippines.
  • Approximately 3–6 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal department.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, banking, technology, e-commerce, or other highly regulated industries would be an advantage.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex commercial agreements.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory and compliance matters relating to financial services and digital products.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical and solution-oriented legal advice.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and technology-driven environment.
