The Role
- Lead the legal response to complex cyber incidents and large-scale data breaches from the initial forensic stages through to resolution.
- Advise high-profile clients on sensitive regulatory issues involving GDPR, DPA 2018, and emerging international data privacy frameworks.
- Manage contentious workstreams, including cyber-related litigation, professional liability disputes, and regulatory investigations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical experts and corporate leadership in time-critical, high-pressure scenarios.
- Drive the development of internal knowledge-sharing initiatives to stay ahead of the evolving cyber-threat landscape.
What You'll Need
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with experience in Contentious, Regulatory, or Risk-focused legal practice.
- Proven background in Commercial Disputes, Professional Liability, or Data Privacy Law with a desire to specialise in Cyber Law.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex matters with autonomy and lead small workstreams effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the "mental toughness" required to advise clients during active crisis situations.
- A keen interest in the intersection of Law and Technology, specifically regarding Incident Response, AI Risk, and Information Security.
