We are seeking an Associate, Contract Management who will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Contracts and Commercial (SMCC) and will be a valuable contributor to the Vena Energy Services Australia (VESA) business. The role will also support the Construction, Operations, Legal and Investment team with contractual obligations and a broad range of other transactions and projects.

Responsibilities

Receive, review, and provide advice on key contractual notices to support VESA interests.

Draft and issue contractual notices on behalf of VESA, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreement terms.

Develop and maintain trackers for material obligations under major contracts, monitoring compliance across a range of areas including security, insurance, performance, lender reporting, and other key commitments.

Coordinate and prepare requests for approval under financing agreements, manage queries from lenders, and track responses through to completion.

Attend contractor, counterparty, and internal stakeholder meetings alongside the SMCC to monitor action items and ensure timely follow-ups.

Support the SMCC in managing complex project matters and commercial agreements.

Contribute to resolving complex legal disputes through research, coordination, and documentation support.

Prerequisites

Business (Legal, Commercial) or project management qualification. Bachelor of Business, Law or Project Management would be desirable.

Minimum of 3 years in a construction or project management function.

Experience working in a contract or commercial role in the energy or renewable energy sector.

Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex contractual documents with attention to detail.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with project management software/tools.

Prior experience in compliance functions and/or corporate secretarial work is highly desirable.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Proven ability to work well in teams, contributing to shared goals and supporting colleagues across functions.

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.

Genuine interest in the industry and a proactive approach to staying informed and involved in sector developments.

Willingness to take on new challenges and assignments across various countries and legal jurisdictions, reflecting flexibility in scope and approach.
