About the Firm

We are a boutique Denver law firm handling sophisticated, high-stakes legal matters for political organizations, businesses, entrepreneurs, public figures, governmental agencies, and other sophisticated clients. Our core practices include public policy and political law, complex commercial litigation, regulatory matters, corporate and transactional matters, and intellectual property.

The firm is entrepreneurial by design. We are looking for an associate who wants more than a narrow lane and who wants to grow a practice. We seek someone who can contribute meaningfully to client matters, work directly with experienced attorneys and clients, and grow into new areas of practice as the firm continues to expand.

Position Overview

The associate attorney will work primarily on complex commercial litigation and public policy litigation. The role may also include exposure to corporate, transactional, intellectual property, and regulatory matters depending on firm needs and the associate’s interests and experience.

This is a strong opportunity for an attorney who wants hands-on responsibility, meaningful client exposure, sophisticated work, and room to build a long-term practice in an entrepreneurial boutique environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, demand letters, settlement documents, and client communications.
  • Managing discovery, including written discovery, document review, subpoenas, depositions, and discovery disputes.
  • Conducting legal research and developing case strategy.
  • Supporting hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and other dispute-resolution proceedings.
  • Working directly with partners, clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
  • Assisting with corporate, transactional, intellectual property, regulatory, and political/legal matters as needed.
  • Contributing to firm growth, client service, and practice development.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3–10 years of legal experience, preferably with meaningful litigation experience.
  • Active license to practice law in Colorado, or ability to become admitted promptly.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Sound judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Comfort handling sophisticated and sometimes sensitive client matters.
  • Interest in developing as a lawyer in an entrepreneurial boutique firm setting.
  • Willingness to learn new practice areas and contribute where needed.
  • Courtroom, deposition, trial, arbitration, or complex-motion experience preferred, but not required.

Political and Public-Affairs Matters

The firm handles high-profile legal work for a range of clients, including clients in the political, public-affairs, and advocacy spheres, focused on Republican and conservative causes. Candidates must be comfortable providing professional, confidential, and zealous legal representation to these clients in politically sensitive matters, including matters that may involve public controversy, media attention, and clients with strongly held political or ideological positions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The position is also eligible for a bonus structure based on performance, contribution, and origination, as determined by the firm.
