Duties
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring smooth shift transitions
- Supervise and train staff on food preparation, food safety protocols, customer service standards, and POS system usage such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food handling procedures
- Oversee cash handling procedures, reconcile registers at shift end, and ensure accurate financial transactions
- Lead team training initiatives to develop skills in food production, kitchen management, and hospitality service
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to uphold excellent service standards
- Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules, managing labor costs, and ensuring timely service during peak hours
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Skilled in managing POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing and sales tracking
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team leadership, staff training, interviewing, and performance management
- Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety management, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis
- Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination, staff development, and customer engagement
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality and security
- Experience in casual dining or fine dining settings with catering or banquet experience is a plus
- Knowledge of kitchen management practices including food production, catering services, bar operations, coffee handling, and serving techniques
- Basic math skills for inventory calculations, financial reporting, and order accuracy
