Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales, and Guest Services.
- Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards and company operating procedures.
- Lead, coach, and develop department managers and team members to foster a positive, high-performance culture.
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores, online reviews, and service recovery efforts to maintain exceptional guest experiences.
- Help manage labor, expenses, and departmental budgets while meeting financial performance goals.
- Analyze operating reports and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor team members while promoting employee engagement and retention.
- Serve as Manager on Duty and respond promptly to guest concerns and operational issues.
- Conduct daily leadership meetings and ensure effective communication between departments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained property through regular inspections.
- Support revenue management initiatives to maximize occupancy and hotel profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and health standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive hotel management experience
- Previous supervisory or department head experience required.
- Strong knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping, and hotel operations.
- Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, solve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with IHG brands is highly desirable.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, labor management, and forecasting.
- Proven success improving guest satisfaction and operational performance.
