A Contracts Specialist is an individual who develops, improves, and oversees an organization’s contracts with various parties.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a customer-focused and detail-oriented person with experience working in a fast-paced environment. This position can be either full time or part time.
Responsibilities:
Contracts data entry, information tracking, error correction, and follow-up for all assigned programs.
Review contracts’ breaches and determine a response plan.
Maintaining accurate records of customer contracts, both electronically and hard copy.
Maintaining strict confidentiality of customer information.
Working closely with the Billing and Referrals Departments.
Work with customer family members and caseworkers to streamline the contracting process.
Ensure customer contract compliance and thorough documentation of customer contracts.
Directly input and update the contract’s information into the portal.
Minimum Requirements:
5 years of proven experience working with contracts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effectively communicating with internal and external customers.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Meticulous record-keeping.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in contract administration within healthcare is preferred but not required.
Ability to work cross-functionally with internal partners, state contacts, and customers.
Process-oriented mindset, comfortable navigating through change and implementing new processes.
Self-starter, able to identify problem areas, brainstorm, and present recommended solutions.
Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to different and potentially complex situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in preferably Business or legal field.
Five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Bilingual preferred but not necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour
