Key Responsibilities:
- Advise and guide internal stakeholders on employment matters across the full employee lifecycle in the region, including but not limited to recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, retention, discipline, and separations;
- Design and deliver legal training programs to build internal capability on employment law compliance;
- Monitor legislative developments and emerging trends in employment law across the region, and provide proactive, practical guidance to the business.
Qualifications:
- Law degree and active bar admission/license in one of the SEA countries (required);
- Prior experience in both private practice and in-house roles is preferred;
- Strong substantive knowledge of employment law across multiple jurisdictions;
- Proven ability to deliver practical, solution-oriented legal advice in a commercial context;
- Familiar with market best practices and able to identify systemic approaches to recurring legal challenges;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across cultures, seniority levels, and functional teams;
- Collaborative team player with excellent follow-through;
- Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance legal service delivery and drive creative solutions;
- Self-motivated learner with strong intellectual curiosity;
- Proficiency in Mandarin and other SEA languages is a plus.
