Admitted Attorney – Tax (Johannesburg)
We are a leading independent tax advisory firm looking to appoint an admitted attorney into our tax legal team. This is not a general legal role. The work is specialised, fast-paced, and commercially relevant.
You will work directly on complex tax matters including disputes, advisory, structuring, and SARS engagements. The role suits someone who wants to build deep technical capability while operating in a high-performance environment.
What you will do
- Draft and review tax opinions, submissions, and legal arguments
- Engage with SARS on audits, verifications, objections, and appeals
- Work on complex advisory and structuring matters
- Interpret and apply tax legislation to real commercial scenarios
- Collaborate with tax specialists, accountants, and senior advisors
What we are looking for
- Admitted attorney (1–4 years PQE preferred)
- Strong academic track record
- Clear interest in tax (formal tax exposure advantageous but not required)
- Strong writing ability and attention to detail
- Able to think independently and apply judgement
- Comfortable in a high-performance, accountability-driven environment
