Key Accountabilities

Manage flow of a wide range of agreements including performance releases, sponsorship, consulting, licensing, vendor, marketing, digital services, representation and production contracts.

Advise teams on various business issues including intellectual property, privacy, content regulation, consumer protection, antitrust/competition laws, litigation, employment, advertising laws and regulations, as well as law enforcement and other related issues.

Draft, restructure, negotiate and advise on a broad range of commercial contracts including master service agreements, service level agreements/statement of works, addendums, amendments.

Draft, review and negotiate vendor contracts in line with the company’s vendor onboarding framework.

Draft reply to show cause notices, letters, any communication received from the regulators.

Collaborate with internal business partners (e.g., creative and production), cross-functional partners (e.g., intellectual property, tax and marketing), and other key partners (e.g., finance) on miscellaneous day-to-day issues that arise across the various shows

Coordinate, organize, prepare and interpret legal documents, build and maintain relevant databases and files.

Anticipate and identify legal issues of concern to the Company and proactively develops effective legal strategies and practical solutions; Protect the organization’s rights in contract negotiations, settlements, and litigation.

Maintain database of key legal terms, SLAs and ensure internal compliance.

Maintain repository of all standard and negotiated contracts, manage workflow, and ensure compliance from draft to delivery.

Identify legal issues and risks that may affect the business thereby ensuring that the business leadership is properly advised concerning those issues.

Mitigate compliance risks, implement the legal and regulatory risk compliance program and ensure the business is in compliance with local and international legislation and regulation.

Lead legal research, analysis, interpreting and advising new laws and regulations to various teams such as content, operations, finance, HR, etc.

Stay up-to-date on relevant industry, commercial, open source, IP, privacy, employment, and other laws, regulations, and developments to be able to give the most effective advice.
