Summary
Rosenbaum Meier Personal Injury Lawyers, an established NYC personal injury firm, is seeking a Workers’ Compensation paralegal to join our firm. This role is ideal for individuals with experience handling New York State workers’ compensation cases and supporting attorneys through litigation. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus!
Pay Range
$40,000 – $50,000 annually, depending on experience
This role is full-time and is on-site at our New York City office in downtown Manhattan.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume caseload of New York workers’ compensation matters under attorney supervision
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including forms required by the New York Workers’ Compensation Board
- Maintain case files, calendars, and litigation deadlines
- Schedule hearings, depositions, IMEs, and client appointments
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and required documentation
- Request, review, and organize medical records, wage information, and employment records
- Coordinate with medical providers, employers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
- Provide general administrative support to the attorneys and perform additional duties as needed
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of New York workers’ compensation paralegal experience preferred
- Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s is preferred. Paralegal certification is a plus!
- Experience with New York State court filing procedures and deadlines
Qualifications

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and case management systems. Experience with Filevine is a plus!
- Experience organizing large document productions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
