A law firm seeks a Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join their Kansas City, MO office. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of client representation in workers’ compensation cases, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Duties
- Communicate proactively with clients to provide updates and claim status.
- Negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Supervise non-attorney staff to ensure compliance with workers’ compensation laws.
Requirements
- Active Missouri Bar license required.
- At least one year of workers’ compensation experience preferred.
- Eligibility to obtain Kansas Bar license.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Active Missouri Bar license.
