Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 3rd to 4th year White Collar Litigation Associate to join its New York office.
This opportunity is suited to an associate who enjoys sophisticated litigation work involving government scrutiny, sensitive facts, complex records, and significant client exposure.
The firm offers a collaborative national platform with a deep litigation bench and a team oriented culture. Associates work closely with partners and senior attorneys, with meaningful responsibility across strategy, drafting, investigation work, and client communications.
The Opportunity
The associate will support white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, government investigations, and enforcement related litigation. Work is expected to include witness preparation, pleadings and briefs, legal memoranda, discovery management, deposition preparation, hearings, and related court appearances for corporate and individual clients.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 3rd to 4th year White Collar Litigation Associate with:
- Approximately 3 to 4 years of white collar litigation experience, including government investigations and related complex litigation
- Strong drafting experience across pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
- Experience preparing for and participating in depositions, including document organization and outline preparation
- Court appearance experience, together with excellent legal research, analytical, and persuasive writing skills
- Active New York Bar admission
