Our Firm seeks a detail-oriented and organized War Hazards Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of experience in legal support roles and demonstrate proficiency in managing administrative tasks, including assisting in compiling records to process WH applications. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, good judgment skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in preparing reports, correspondence, reviewing and compiling financial records, and exhibits to attach to legal documents.
Review the client’s ledgers to determine amounts recoverable.
Obtain necessary documentation from clients to finalize the reimbursement process.
Assist with intake and file organization.
Will be required to help provide coverage for other team members.
Organize and maintain project working files and track critical documents. Immediately report discrepancies to the appropriate team members.
Maintain high integrity and confidentiality when dealing with confidential and sensitive information & records.
Qualifications
Preferably at least 1+ years of experience working in a law firm
Working knowledge of Microsoft products including but not limited to Outlook and Word and Adobe
Experience working with a document management system.
Knowledge of technical and communications skills.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple competing tasks and priorities
Self-motivated
