Overview
The Albany Country Club is seeking dynamic, team-oriented servers whose enthusiasm and dedication create memorable dining experiences for our members. As a vital link between the kitchen and the members and their guests, you’ll serve food and beverages with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality skills in a lively environment, ensuring every member and guest feels valued and well cared for. Duties
- Greet members and guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Know menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Assist with food preparation and food safety protocols as needed to support kitchen staff
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience, particularly in fine dining environments or high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems for order processing
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations gracefully
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques is a plus but not a requirement
- Proven time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Experience with upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
Must be able to work Days, Evenings, and Weekends
Hourly pay and gratuities paid weekly.
