Responsibilities:
Manage and/or assist with all legal aspects of fundraising, including fund formation, structuring vehicles, capital raising processes, and other ongoing legal requirements, which may include due diligence activities
Act as lead counsel on the investment structure agreements and liaise with partners
Provide leadership in supporting our M&A ambitions, acting as a business partner supporting all phases of transactions
Draft and negotiate a wide variety of contractual arrangements
Act as a trusted advisor to team members on relevant legal issues affecting the businesses
Oversee the work of external counsels engaged in managing fund transactions
Assist with regulatory compliance and the implementation and administration of core policies and procedures (e.g., compliance, AML/KYC, conflicts of interests, etc.)
Identify and track regulatory developments and best practices in the areas of compliance, securities law, and corporate governance
