We have a current opportunity for a Deputy Head of Tax Compliance on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Manhattan.
Our client, a global Commercial Banking group, is looking to hire an experienced Tax Compliance professional at a VP level to provide specialist Tax Compliance advice and guidance to senior leaders and key members of the firm’s substantial Commercial Banking arm. The firm is one of Europe’s largest Commercial Banking groups whose Commercial Lending business continues to grow in North America while maintaining an excellent relationship with their regulators.
The Head of Tax Compliance is making this hire with a view to the incumbent acting as their deputy and eventually progressing into the Head of Tax Compliance role in the mid-term.
The Deputy Head of Tax Compliance will be responsible for:
Federal, State and International Tax planning and Compliance for the bank
The provision of Compliance advice relating to US and International Tax standards
The provision of specialist Compliance advice and guidance on FATCA and information reporting
Assisting global tax projects
The Deputy Head of Tax Compliance should have the following qualifications:
Minimum of 7+ years of relevant Tax and Tax Compliance experience, with experience of working for a global bank preferred
Excellent working knowledge of US and International Tax Laws and Standards including FATCA
