The Victim Witness Internship with the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office offers a unique opportunity to provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and essential resources to crime victims. Interns will receive comprehensive training in victim assistance, gaining firsthand experience in supporting individuals during critical moments.
This role involves close collaboration with law enforcement, community agencies, and support teams, offering a well-rounded understanding of the criminal justice system. As an intern, you’ll help connect victims to vital services, aid in securing emergency shelters, and ensure their immediate needs are met.

Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be an enrolled college student engaged in undergraduate coursework in criminal justice, human services, psychology, sociology, law enforcement, public administration, or a related field.
Make at least a 1 (one) year commitment (a school year or two semesters) preferred.

Schedule
This position offers flexibility to accommodate a student’s schedule and holiday breaks. It requires 10 – 20 in-office hours per week, along with 4 – 6 on-call shifts of 12 hours each per month.
