Trial Paralegal
MHM LAW PLLC, a litigation boutique, is seeking a Trial Paralegal to join our growing team. While smaller than traditional “big law” firms, MHM LAW consistently delivers exceptional results, offering litigation services and trial skills that are second to none.
A paralegal filling our open position requires a smart, detail-oriented, personable self-motivator with excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and who takes pride in always producing top-quality work. The trial paralegal position requires someone who has a proactive approach to handling cases and can work independently, with excellent attention to detail. This position requires a highly organized, strategic big picture thinker that loves details and can execute quickly and accurately.
Job duties include:
· Effectively and efficiently manage multiple case dockets and prioritize tasks effectively from start to finish.
· Conduct thorough independent document review and analysis and provide recommendations to resolve specific issues.
· Schedule depositions and prepare subpoenas.
· Maintain well organized case files.
· Draft offensive discovery and responses to discovery requests.
· Manage the investigation of case background facts.
· Coordinate, track, and review document productions.
· Prepare privilege logs.
· Identify, order, review, and summarize records from third parties.
· Prepare, organize, and manage exhibits for depositions, briefs, hearings, mock trials, and trials.
· Attend evidentiary hearings, mock trials, and trials to assist with exhibits, witnesses, and trial software.
Required Qualifications:
· College degree and/or paralegal experience
· Strong attention to detail.
· Team player with a good attitude.
· Critical thinker/problem solver.
· High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
· Excellent oral and written communication ability.
· Outstanding client service skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
· High level of comfort with technology, including the ability to learn new software and procedures quickly.
