We are seeking a seasoned Attorney with specific expertise in handling first-party property insurance claims, particularly those involving litigation or trial work. This role is pivotal in expanding our capacity to deliver justice and fair compensation to our clients whose properties have been affected by various perils.
Experience in state attorney, public defense or other types of litigation will be considered.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– **Case Management:** Oversee all aspects of first-party property insurance claims, from evaluation to settlement or trial.
– **Litigation:** Prepare and manage litigation strategies, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial preparation.
– **Client Advocacy:** Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
– **Legal Research:** Conduct in-depth research on insurance law, including policy interpretation and coverage disputes.
– **Negotiation:** Lead settlement discussions with insurance companies to achieve favorable resolutions for clients.
– **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with our team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to build strong case strategies.
**Qualifications:**
– **Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.**
– **Admitted to practice law in Florida.**
– **Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in handling first-party property insurance claims or comparable liability, trial or other litigation work.
– **Proven track record in litigation or trial work, preferably in insurance law.**
– **Strong understanding of Florida insurance law, property damage, bad faith, and related legal principles.**
– **Excellent negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills.**
– **Ability to manage a high caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.**
**Preferred Skills:**
– Experience with hurricane, flood, fire, or other major property damage claims.
– Familiarity with insurance policy language, exclusions, and endorsements.
– A history of successful case outcomes in insurance litigation.
