Two Front-End Construction Lawyer Roles | Junior & Senior
Perth | Full-time | Specialist Construction Practice
A growing specialist construction law and advisory practice is seeking two lawyers to join its expanding Perth team — one Junior Construction Lawyer and one Senior Construction Lawyer.
Both roles offer a strong mix of front-end construction, property and commercial advisory work, making them ideal for lawyers who enjoy the intersection between construction and property law.
1. Junior Construction Lawyer | 1–4 Years PAE
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer looking to develop their career in front-end construction, property and commercial advisory work.
You will work closely with experienced construction lawyers and gain exposure to:
- Drafting and reviewing construction contracts
- Construction and development advice
- Property-related matters supporting construction and development projects
- Contract negotiations and amendments
- Development agreements and related documentation
- Advising on contractual risk and project issues
- Variations, extensions of time and dispute avoidance
- Due diligence and property-related advisory work
- Direct client interaction and relationship building
2. Senior Construction Lawyer | 5–10 Years PAE
An excellent opportunity for an experienced construction lawyer to take on a significant advisory role within a specialist practice, with a strong focus on front-end construction and property matters.
You will be responsible for:
- Advising on major construction and development projects
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex construction contracts
- Providing strategic contractual, property and risk advice
- Advising developers, contractors and other industry clients
- Assisting with property aspects of construction and development projects
- Advising on project delivery, contractual obligations and risk
- Managing matters and client relationships independently
- Mentoring junior lawyers
- Contributing to the continued growth of the practice
About You
For both positions, you will ideally have:
- Experience in construction, property, commercial or related areas of law
- A genuine interest in front-end construction
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client management skills
- A practical and commercially minded approach
- An interest in the property and development sector
- The ability to work collaboratively within a specialist team
