Paralegal – Trusts & Estates
Our client is seeking an experienced, full-time Paralegal to join its growing Trusts & Estates practice in Philadelphia. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with substantial Pennsylvania estate administration experience who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least four (4) years of experience handling Pennsylvania and New Jersey estate administrations and will be able to manage multiple matters independently while consistently meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Pennsylvania and New Jersey estate administrations from inception through closing, including:
- Probate proceedings
- Identification and collection of estate assets and liabilities
- Preparation and filing of federal and state estate tax returns
- Preparation of fiduciary income tax returns
- Estate and trust accountings
- Nonjudicial settlement agreements
- Monitor estate deadlines and ensure timely, efficient administration of all matters.
- Communicate regularly with clients, investment advisors, accountants, and other professional advisors.
- Prepare and file documents with Pennsylvania Orphans’ Courts and New Jersey Surrogate Courts across various counties.
- Coordinate the execution and notarization of legal documents (notary license preferred).
- Maintain accurate case files and provide proactive support to attorneys throughout the estate administration process.
- Utilize estate administration software, including OneSource and Lackner (preferred).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience, with significant Pennsylvania estate administration experience required.
- Experience administering New Jersey estates required; New York estate administration experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of probate procedures, estate administration, fiduciary accounting, and tax filings.
- Experience with OneSource and Lackner is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
- Notary Public commission preferred.

Salary-80k-90k based on experience
Hybrid schedule after training
