About the Role
We are looking for a Policy Specialist to join our Trust & Safety (TnS) Policy team. In this role, you will help develop and maintain global content and community policies to ensure platform safety, regulatory compliance, and a healthy ecosystem across international markets.
You will work on complex and evolving content risk areas, translating policy principles into actionable enforcement standards and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners including Legal, Product, Engineering, and Moderation teams. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-cultural awareness, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced international environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize global content and community policies (e.g., Community Guidelines, Advertising Policies, Creator Policies) to ensure platform safety and ecosystem health.
- Translate policy principles into clear enforcement standards and operational guidelines for moderation teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Trust & Safety operations, Legal, Product, and Engineering to ensure consistent policy implementation.
- Identify and assess emerging platform risks, monitor policy enforcement outcomes and industry trends, and drive continuous policy improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in any field; background in Computer Science, Data Science, Law, or Public Administration is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in internet risk control, Trust & Safety operations, content moderation, or related operational roles.
- Strong understanding of content safety risks, fraudulent tactics, and common abuse patterns, with hands-on experience handling complex risk scenarios.
- Strong analytical and execution capabilities, with the ability to drive solutions effectively under pressure.
- Fluent in English and comfortable working in cross-cultural, multi-time-zone environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with content policy at global internet platforms (e.g., YouTube, Meta, TikTok, Twitter/X).
- Familiarity with international platform governance and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, DSA, COPPA).
- Experience responding to cross-border content risks or global crisis events.
- Chinese as a working language.
Pay range and compensation package
The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $170,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications.
