Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dynamic law office. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our legal team, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities and contributing to the success of our practice. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
Duties
Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence.
Maintain organized files and records in accordance with legal standards and office policies.
Utilize BestCase software for case management and document management tasks, as well as internal billing program to maintain current billing practices.
Communicate effectively with clients and other parties involved in legal matters.
Support paralegals in various tasks as needed to ensure timely completion of projects.
Experience
Proven experience in a law office or similar environment is preferred.
Familiarity with bankruptcy, probate and personal injury law is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong administrative skills with proficiency in WordPerfect and BestCase software.
Excellent writing skills for drafting correspondence.
A background as a Paralegal or relevant coursework in law is advantageous but not required.
