Trial Lawyer Jobs in Miami, FL at Hire Integrated
Mortel Law, PLLC is a small, fast paced estate planning and probate law firm in Oakdale. We aim to provide top-tier legal representation to our clients. We are seeking a legal assistant or paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem solving skills, strong attention to detail, a great attitude, and a willingness to help wherever it is needed. Part-time or full-time opportunities available depending on candidate. This is primarily an in office position with some opportunities for remote work available.
Basic responsibilities:
Communicate with potential and existing clients on the phone, in person and by email;
Schedule appointments and manage attorney’s calendar;
Manage the intake process for all new clients and potential clients;
Draft and manage correspondence;
E-file documents with courts and e-record deeds;
Prepare and assemble documents for signing and witness signings;
Prepare legal documents including Probate pleadings, and manage probate administration files;
Prepare estate planning documents, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives and Deeds;
Maintain client database and manage client files;
Provide all aspects of legal and administrative support;
Perform basic administrative tasks as needed, such as scanning, mailing, and filing.
Skills required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar;
Ability to interact with all clients in a warm, kind and respectful manner;
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail;
Ability to prioritize and execute numerous tasks under tight deadlines;
Ability to operate standard office equipment including scanner, copier, printer, multi-line telephone;
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other standard office software, with experience in Clio preferred;
Ability to work independently with little direct supervision, including analysis and problem solving as needed;
Reliable, trustworthy and able to maintain strict client confidentiality;
Prior law firm experience in the areas of probate and/or estate planning preferred.
