LightEdison is a solar Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable energy solutions. We are committed to accelerating the deployment of clean energy and are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our growing team in Bozeman, Montana. This is an in-office position.
About the Role:
The Paralegal will provide essential support to LightEdison’s Corporate Counsel across a range of legal matters. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills who is capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. Prior paralegal experience is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
Assist Corporate Counsel in all phases of company legal matters.
Conduct legal research and analysis, summarizing findings and preparing legal memoranda.
Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, notices, and correspondence.
Manage and organize legal files, both physical and electronic.
Maintain and track deadlines and critical dates related to legal matters.
Assist with corporate governance matters, including maintaining corporate records and preparing meeting minutes.
Support contract administration, including reviewing and analyzing contract terms and conditions, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and tracking contract milestones.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (legal, finance, project management) on legal matters.
Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and opposing counsel.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and principles.
Experience in contract review and administration.
Excellent legal research and writing skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google equivalents.
Experience with legal research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) is required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and a proactive approach.
Passion for renewable energy is a plus.
