Job Description
Reputable, boutique PLAINTIFF’S First Party Property Law Firm is seeking a highly-skilled, motivated CivilTrial Attorney to join its DOWNTOWN TAMPA office located near Hyde Park. (This job is HYBRID REMOTE – ideally you should live within 1 hour of Tampa).
IDEAL Candidates have 3+ years experience with FIRST PARTY PROPERTY TRIALS in FLORIDA; however, we will consider attorneys with other Civil Trial experience as well as State Attorneys/PDs with Criminal Trial experience. We want ACTUAL TRIALS TRIED (not just “prepped for and settled”)
JOB DUTIES:
Drafting initial pleadings
Drafting demand letters
Written discovery
Taking/defending depositions
Mediations and trials
Preparing expert witnesses for depositions
Taking expert witness depositions
Meeting with clients
Court hearings
Substantive motions
Preparing and arguing MSJs
Complex legal research & writing
Issuing/answering written discovery
Negotiating with public adjusters
Settlement negotiations
Managing all files assigned to you
Must be able to manage a high-volume caseload autonomously. Should be highly independent, organized and able to multi-task.
COMPETITIVE BASE SALARY ($120k to $185k)
