OpTech has an excellent opportunity with a Tier 1 client for a Michigan-based Litigation Attorney!
Location : Troy / Rochester / Royal Oak area
Hybrid : 4 days on site / 1 day remote

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney to join a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in civil litigation and a proven ability to handle complex legal matters from inception through trial. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile cases in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Represent clients in all phases of civil litigation, including pre-trial, trial, settlement, and post-trial procedures.
Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.
Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on a wide range of matters.
Handle negotiations and settlements on behalf of clients.
Appear in court, depositions, hearings, and mediations to advocate for clients.
Work closely with other attorneys and legal staff to prepare cases for trial.
Develop and implement litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Stay current on case law and legal developments within the relevant practice areas.
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in Michigan.
6+ years of litigation experience (preferably in civil litigation, but experience in other areas may be considered).
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and legal matters independently.
Experience in legal research and writing, with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively advocate on behalf of clients.
Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Skills :
Trial experience, including jury and bench trials.
Familiarity with case management software.
Membership in professional organizations, such as the American Bar Association (ABA).
