We are looking for a Contract Attorney!!

Summary:

This position requires an advanced understanding of contractual terms and conditions. Will collaborate closely with legal counsel, contracts department owners, and various stakeholders to develop, update, and support the negotiation of contracts and other legal matters.

Essential Functions:

Provide expert legal support and advice to the management team on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues.
Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and internal policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Conduct legal analysis and research on various legal matters relevant to the company.
Identify potential legal risks and develop preventive measures to mitigate them.
Ensure the company’s operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Advice staff on legal contracts matters and compliance requirements.
Communicate and negotiate with external parties such as regulators, public authorities, and providers.

Qualification Requirements:

Juris Doctor from an accredited University.
Admitted to practice of law in Puerto Rico (in good standing).
The position requires five (5) years of related experience drafting and negotiating agreements.
A demonstrated understanding and strong working knowledge of applicable legal principles.
The ability to work on diverse contractual issues simultaneously.
The ability to frame, draft, and negotiate agreements.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
