Job Description

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under direction of the Chief Corporate Compliance Officer (“CCO”), the Data Compliance Associate (“DCA”) will provide data support to the Office of Corporate Compliance (“OCC”) to assist in measuring the effectiveness of the OCC’s Compliance Program and Training and Education programs. In conjunction with the CCO, the DCA will develop and implement methods of analyzing and monitoring the OCC’s compliance data from sources such as the case management data base and training modules, to evaluate how well the Compliance Program is meeting its goals and regulatory requirements.

General tasks and responsibilities will include:

Collect and analyze data from the OCC’s compliance reporting data base to determine factors such as the most frequent types of reports that are submitted, the length of time to resolve reports, the number and types of reports from the System as a whole, as well as from each facility and program, etc
Collect and analyze data from the OCC’s Intranet, including frequency of hits on various components, such as Hot Topics
Collect and analyze data from the OCC’s annual Workforce Member Compliance Survey
Collect and analyze data from the OCC’s training and education activities, such as completion rates, knowledge assessment results, attendance at focused trainings, etc.
Assist the CCO in utilizing the analyzed data to measure the effectiveness of the OCC’s Compliance Program, and whether there are any risks in non-compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
Be a liaison to between the OCC and Data Governance to advise the CCO of the Data Governance team’s activities, so that the CCO will know if they might have compliance implications
All other assignments, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications

1. A Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from an accredited School of Law, admission to the New York State Bar and three (3) years of experience in the practice of law in the field of health care compliance subsequent to admission to the Bar; or
2. A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Health Care, Hospital, Public, or Business Administration, or another approved related field, and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in auditing, legal, risk management, or compliance in a large healthcare setting; or
3. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Health Care, Hospital or Public Administration, or another approved related field, and five (5) years of experience, as described in “2” above.

3 – 5 years’ experience in data management and analytics
3 – 5 years’ experience working in the health care industry
Microsoft 365/Office Suite
Data Analytics Software
Ability to develop and present analyzed data
Business Intelligence Platforms (e.g. Tableau)
Workflow or Documentation Tools (e.g. SharePoint)
