Overview
The Cleveland, OH office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Transportation Practice.
The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in Ohio and have at least two (2) to seven (7) years of insurance defense experience handling matters involving heavy trucking/tractor trailer, cargo, and freight carriers.
The attorneys of Lewis Brisbois’ Transportation Practice are extensively involved in defending the trucking industry, representing freight carriers, transportation brokers, truck insurers, public entities, school bus operators, long and short haul truckers, and waste management groups engaged in intra-state and interstate transportation. We possess significant litigation and trial experience and handle a broad range of industry-specific issues, including negligent hiring and retention, hours of service, Engine Control Module (ECM) data, messaging and positioning data, DOT compliance, and accident reconstruction.

Qualified candidates should be comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. Candidates must demonstrate strong writing and analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively.
