Transaction Associate – Foley & Lardner LLP
Client: Foley & Lardner LLP
Location: Silicon Valley, California
Practice Group: Transactions (Corporate)
Experience Required: 2–5 years of relevant corporate/transactional experience
Education Required: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA‑accredited law school
Bar Admission: Active member in good standing with the California Bar
Salary Range: $240,000 – $350,000 (in compliance with the California Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act)
Key Responsibilities
Handle a diverse mix of legal work, including:
Emerging companies & venture capital (ECVC) financings
Mergers & acquisitions (M&A), dispositions, and joint ventures
Private equity transactions
General corporate counseling for publicly and privately held companies
Representation of private equity funds, investors, and entrepreneurs
Draft sophisticated transaction documents
Manage projects and oversee deal execution
Interact directly with partners and clients

Venture capital and early-stage financings
M&A, dispositions, and joint ventures
General corporate and commercial transactions
