Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Transactional Legal Assistant for a well-established, full-service business Am Law firm client. This is a hybrid position based in San Diego, CA (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role supports a team of corporate attorneys with a focus on transactional matters, including document preparation, deal coordination, and administrative support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and excels at managing multiple priorities with precision. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft, proofread, and finalize legal documents including contracts, agreements, and correspondence
  • Assist with corporate formations, amendments, and entity filings
  • Prepare closing binders and maintain transaction checklists to ensure timely completion
  • Manage attorney calendars, meetings, and key deadlines related to transactions
  • Coordinate with clients, counsel, and third parties for closings and communications
  • Handle administrative tasks such as time entry, billing coordination, and travel arrangements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting corporate or transactional legal work in a law firm or similar environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with legal document management systems (e.g., iManage or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism and discretion

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers a salary range of $95,000–$105,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage starting on day one, 401(k) with employer match and profit sharing, and additional firm-provided benefits.
