About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organized Transactional Legal Assistant to join our legal team with a focus on business and real estate law. This position plays a crucial role in supporting attorneys by managing administrative and legal tasks with precision and professionalism. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple attorney calendars, including scheduling and coordination
Handle filing with various state and county document systems, including Simplifile
Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents under attorney supervision
Maintain and organize transaction documents in internal systems
Provide general administrative support to the transactions team
Assist with SEC and other regulatory filings (preferred but not required)
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm with an emphasis on business law and/or real estate law
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
Strong technical proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Familiarity with NetDocuments or similar document management systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong grammar and proofreading abilities
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently
Strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Flexible and eager to learn in a dynamic legal environment
Must have a good sense of humor and a team-first attitude
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Salary: $75-$85k/yr.
