As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee the development and implementation of safety protocols, compliance standards, and preventative maintenance procedures that keep our transportation network running smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain the Safety Management Plan, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
Oversee the Drug & Alcohol Program, ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.
Manage accident/incident reporting processes, analyzing data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
Supervise and mentor a small team of part-time maintenance staff, providing guidance and support in their roles.
In collaboration with the Safety Committee conduct regular safety audits and inspections of facilities and vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Prepare and maintain thorough documentation associated with preventative maintenance, safety protocols, and compliance audits.
Lead safety training sessions and workshops for staff to enhance awareness and understanding of safety practices.
Foster a culture of safety within the organization by encouraging open communication and proactive problem-solving.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance or safety role within the public service sector, preferred
Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
Proven experience in accident/incident reporting and documentation.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey safety protocols and compliance measures.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to lead and motivate a team while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
